英国拥有700多年的商科教育历史，凭借着其细致的课程分类、完善的教育系统和出色的师资配置，成为众多学子的追捧对象。根据调查，2014年前往英国留学的国际学生中有超过三分之一都选择了商科相关的专业。
2014年5月，爱丁堡大学商学院和伯明翰大学商学院正式完成了AASCB（国际精英商学院协会）的认证，正式加入了“三重认证”精英商学院的行列。“三重认证”（AMBA, AASCB, EQUIS）是国际上对于商学院的最高荣誉，截止到2014年，全世界也只有不到1%的商学院获得了这一称号。在全球60所获得“三重认证”的商学院中，英国就占据了20席位置，可见英国商学院的地位不容小觑。
